The pineapple is a cylindrical fruit that is approximately 4 to 8 inches in diameter and can reach length of 12 inches,
weighing up to 10 pounds. It has a waxy, tough and rind covering a juicy flesh that sorrounds a fibrous core. The
flesh and core range from nearly white to yellow, and the flavor is a combination of apples, strawberries, and peaches.
Pineapple is high in Vitamin C and contain phytochemicals that promote health.
DOLE has grown pineapples in Polomolok, South Cotabato since 1963.
